What happened to Steve's blog???

You may have noticed that I had an entry last week after our announcement came out, and that entry is no longer here.

Yes, sometimes I jump the gun and say things I'm not supposed to, and get slapped down. :)  Most of what I spoke about was very public knowledge, but Oracle wanted to save some of it for Oracle Open World, which is coming up the first week of October.

So I'll be able to speak about everything much more freely after OOW. If you attend OOW, you will hear about it. A lot. All very good stuff and great news for our customers.

The piece that I am allowed to talk about, since many new quotes have gone out to our customers since September 13th when this all happened, is that our list prices for the ZFSSA (7000) hardware have been dramatically reduced. Our clients are getting new quotes and seeing a nice difference from quotes made before the 13th. This is very good news for not only people new to the 7000, but also for those looking to expand their current ones. There are some new drive types to choose from, as well. Ask your local storage rep or SC about them.
