I have a simple question. I have an exisiting EBS report that is currently in text format. I would just like to get an Excel version of the report.
I read as much documentation as I could related to XML Publisher, BI Publisher, OBIEE etc but not one tells me clearly how to do that. Everybody seems to talk only of RTF templates. But I have a lot of columns that I need on the report and after certain columns 15 to be precise it says I cannot add more columns and I think I have 15 more columns that I need. More specifically I want an Excel version of the Asset Register report in Fixed Assets. I changed the output format to XML in conc program etc but still don't know the best way to do it.
What are my options?

If you know the template is only going to be for Excel output then you can create a custom paper size in Word and make it as wide as you need. I think there is an upper limit for number of columns in a table but its way more than 15.
