Isn't it good to know that there are enough blogs on open standards out there to last a whole morning? Bob Sutor’s Open Blog has been running since 2004 and is a great starting point. Rob Weir's playful An Antic Disposition will wake you up, guaranteed (although Shakespeare's Hamlet had more bizarre things in mind when he originally used the expression antic-disposition). Simon Phipps' Sunmink is also a decent read. Andy Updegrove's ConsortiumInfo is comprehensive. On the academic side, the primer is Lessig 2.0, Lawrence Lessig's blog, while Stephen R. Wallis' blog Once More unto the Breach explores a myriad of perspectives on standards. Danny Weitzner's blog on Open Internet Policy does a good job, too.
In Europe, GotzeBlogged by John Gøtze has traction. Jochen Friedrich's Open Blog is great. Roberto Galoppini writes from an SME's perspective, whereas Charles Schulz writes on Standards and Freedom and is a strong voice in the European open community. I have only been in the job for six months, so I might have missed some open standards blogs. If I discover others, I will be sure to let you know.
