Converging Physical and IT security

Those who know me from the good old Thor days may remember the presentation I did at our last Advisory Council meeting before the acquisition. It was a slightly tongue-in-cheek piece on the future of IdM, in which one of the things I talked about was the growing desire to see physical and IT security converge. While this hasn't quite happened with the urgency that I was expecting, it is a quietly growing aspect of Identity Management.

In a byline titled "Securing the Enterprise - Linking Physical and IT Security" for Line56.com, Anshu Sharma, one of the product managers in the Oracle Identity Management team, examines how enterprises are realizing that a blended approach to security that takes a
holistic view of the problem is needed, and what solutions they can employ to secure their enterprise as a whole.
