Casually stroll to the Oracle.com’s Support webpage and your eyebrows might rise upon reading this:

That’s right, there is now one more reason to attach configuration data from the configuration management collector with your Service Request – Prioritization in our support queues!
What does this mean? It means resolving your SR’s will be that much faster when using OCM. Note, this service is for Oracle Database customers.
Suddenly feel the urge to read up on using OCM? Check out this link.

I asked this question on Warticki's site, but I'll ask here as well. What if you have OCM configured but it is broken? OCM does not exactly go out of its way to notify you, or offer any suggestions about how to resolve such a broken status.

Great, now if only Oracle would release the configuration manager collector for my platform.

Just curious:
Is OCM a separate licensed product?
Is OCM available for Standard Edition, SE1 or Personal Edition?

Good (and interesting) questions,
Charles, what exactly do you mean by OCM being broken? Have you checked Note 369619.1 for troubleshooting OCM issues?
Dave, what platform are you referring to?
Hans, OCM is available to anyone via My Oracle Support; checkout this link for download and details:

Jorge: Note 369619.1 is not very helpful - it does not really have a troubleshooting section, and a majority of it is not relevant. What exactly do I mean when I say OCM is broken? I mean that when I go to MOS, I see that the last collected time was 43+ weeks ago. I am told that this is a bug, but if so, why is it not corrected?

Hi Charles,
That's an interesting problem -- when you say you were told this was a bug, is this documentation that you can point to, or was this someone affiliated with Oracle?
