This being the Configuration Support Manager, obviously having access to your configurations is pretty important. So we've devoted a good chunk of screen real estate to the region displaying the configurations from your environment.
As you probably know, CSM integrates with the OCM (Oracle Configuration Manager) collector tool to automatically discover configuration settings and changes to those settings, and upload the details. (By the way -- check out the "Collectors" top-level tab in the upper right corner to deploy the collector to new systems.) These configuration items are summarized in the region on the main dashboard page.
If you select a particular configuration, you'll notice that the screen you get looks a lot like the main dashboard: in fact, you're getting a dashboard with information specific to this configuration. So now you have a view with SRs, system health, patch advice, etc. that relates just to this configuration as opposed to the system-wide view. One of the common pieces of feedback that we've accumulated over time is that dashboard views are good, so we've tried to give you easy access to different kinds!

Hi Joshua,
will it be (again) possible to manually create configurations in the web interface? Most of our customers deny any access from their database servers to the internet (not even using proxy server). Will there be a non-flash interface? Flash is not allowed at several sites too.

I think that the configurations needs to be redesigned, everytime I come back to the original list it refreshes losing any sort order there might have been.
Also I would like the ability to add/remove/change the listing. It is not necessary to remove the information completely just the ability to filter what information there is: Priortize critical systems from non-critical.

I'll try to answer all the questions:

1. Will we support manual configurations?
The main purpose of CSM V2 is to provide targeted/specific information and recommendations about your environment. In order to do the best possible job, we need to have confidence in the quality and timeliness of the configuration data. When we make recommendations about patches etc, we need to be confident that they will be approriate for your systems. Manual configuration do not provide the depth and timeliness necessary to drive some of the latest enhancements.
2. Will there be a non-flash interface?
Not in the near term. We would like to follow up with you regarding the specific site that would have a problem with flash. Could you contact Joshua via the EMUI-feedback_us@oracle.com email account.

Agreed. The sort preference is already logged as a bug. We will be implementing the "favorites" feature for the beta release.

The configurations do load faster but not all of my configurations are showing up.
All of the databases are missing, I edited the region to display more but that didn't help.

Have just started using SCM. Have tried several attempts at manual uploads to Oracle - all of which claim to be successful. Auto upload is on; the connection test works ok; the scheduler is running;
but the configuration info on the site is still a week old.

Hi
When the configuration is uploaded the Last Collected date is displayed correctly.
When you load the next version of configuration, you can see the changes, i.e. to the
database, but the Last Collected date is NOT updated.
