Our Applications Platforms Group continues to round out our certification matrix for the 10.2.0.4 Database and specific platform combinations. They certified Apps 11i with RHEL and SLES 9 and 10 and the 10.2.0.4 Database on Linux Itanium earlier this year. This week they announced that Oracle E-Business Suite Release 11i (11.5.10.2) is certified with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 5 on Linux Itanium with the 10.2.0.4 Database.
This is a database tier-only certification (also known as a "split configuration"). The application tier must be on a supported Oracle E-Business Suite Release 11i operating system platform.

Hello Steven,
Is 11i (11.5.10.2) version of EBS supported by Oracle Enterprise Linux (OEL 5) 5.3? I setup R12 with OEL 5.3 on VMWare and would like to setup a new VM with OEL 5.3 (32bit) and 11.5.10.2. When I tried to install 11i before with OEL 5.3 it failed and said that it was not supported during the initial setup with Rapid Install (rapidwiz).

Hello, Ben,
OEL 5 is certified and supported with EBS 11.5.10.2. I'd recommend logging a formal Service Request via Metalink for this to get one of our EBS installation specialists engaged. Feel free to drop me an email with the SR number if it gets bogged down in some way.
