We are thinking about upgrading our database to 11.1.0.7. Presently we are running Oracle E-Business 11.5.10r2 on the 9.2.0.8 database. I was wondering if there is anyone out there running EBS with 11g. And if yes, how is it going?

Steven,
As I look to move to 11g under 11i to take advantage of advanced compression, I noticed that 11.1.0.6 no longer shows up as in certify with 11i under any Linux or Database Only (split) configuration... Not a surprise, but it unless I'm missing something, I thought you may want to know for your own certification page, or if this isn't the case, I'd be curious to see where you find it in certify (and it wouldn't be the first, nor last, time I couldn't find something there...)

My customer is currently on the following stack:
E-Business Suite 11i10
Database version 10.2.0.3
Platform: AIX 5.3 (64-bit)
They are considering whether to upgrade their database to 10.2.0.4, or wait for 11gV2.
To facilitate this decision, they would like to know when Database 11gV2 will be certified for EBS 11.5.10.2?
Thank you!

Asmi,
Revenue Recognition Committee guidelines prevent us from giving information about 11gR2 certification dates with EBS 11i. I can tell you that this is work in progress. Please keep monitoring this blog and tech11isup_us mailing list for updates on this certifications.

Hi,
Do you have any information on performance improvements with 11gR1 ? We just upgraded our 11.5.10.2 instance (with ATG6) from 9.2.0.8 to 11.1.0.7 and the peformance is exactly the same as the older systems.
Any notes or tuning instructions that we might might missing ?
Regards,
Alan

Hi, Alan,
Sorry for the delay in responding. My post-OpenWorld backlog has been daunting.
I'm pleased to hear that you've upgraded to 11.1.0.7. I'm a little surprised to hear that there's been little apparent improvements in performance. Can you provide more information about your platform, E-Business Suite products used, database size, transactional volume, and the like so that we can get a fuller picture of your operating parameters?
Our Applications Performance Group is working on some 11g DB benchmark whitepapers right now. I'll be sure to post those here as soon as they're available.
Regards,
Steven
