Hi , steven . I am a EBS consultant . I found the many parts of R12 are web-based now . Is it the direction of EBS in the future? Does Oracle have planned to move to a pure web-based application ? Thanks

As time progresses, I would expect that more and more Forms-based EBS products may move to web-based interfaces. This is the trend that we're seeing with each new EBS release.
Web-based interfaces have some usability drawbacks given current limitations inherent to web-browsers today. It's possible that certain high transactional-volume EBS products may opt to stay with Forms-based interfaces until those limitations are overcome by new browser technologies.

Your replies make sense. Forms are better suited for high level transactions (data loader too). Web based are confusing in many pages and doesn't seem to have logic. I will give you a best example of Supplier page. There are many illogical placement of buttons and arrangement of frames, whereas forms used to give us clear navigation and direction.
Hope things get better with web based pages and for forms, I think they are the most stable and lovable by the entire Oracle community.
