New Apps certifications are just flying out of our labs this week. I'm pleased to announce that the latest versions of Single Sign-On and Oracle Internet Directory 10g 10.1.4.2 are now certified with the E-Business Suite Release 12. Existing Release 12 environments using earlier versions of SSO & OID 10g may be upgraded to 10.1.4.2.

Applications Release 12 users can configure their environments to delegate user authentication to an external Single Sign-On 10g 10.1.4.2 instance. In this optional configuration, Single Sign-On validates E-Business Suite user credentials against an external Oracle Internet Directory 10g 10.1.4.2 instance.
The latest certified configuration is documented in:
- Integrating Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 with Oracle Internet Directory and Oracle Single Sign-On (Metalink Note 376811.1)

Hi Thanks for nice post steven,
We are having 11.5.10.2 Instance running with 9.2.0.7 database.
we want to integrate 11i with AD using sso.
Can we upgrade existing 9iAS (which came with 11i) to 10g AS and use this AS for sso.
Can same thing will be done in Release 12 also?
Regards,
Rao

Rao,
The E-Business Suite Release 11i's 9iAS 1.0.2.2.2 server cannot be upgraded to OracleAS 10g. It will continue to run 9iAS 1.0.2.2.2 and integrate with an external OracleAS 10g instance for use of optional services such as Single Sign On and Oracle Internet Directory.
The same applies to EBS Release 12. The internal OracleAS 10g instances are used for Forms and OC4J 10g. You can install an external OracleAS 10g instance for SSO and OID 10g services and integrate that external instance with EBS Release 12.
Regards,
Steven
