[Apr 24, 2007 Update: Discoverer 10g 10.1.2.2 is now certified with the E-Business Suite Release 11i.]
Well, some of you are really on the ball. Even though it was just announced yesterday, I'm already getting emails about whether the newly-released Discoverer 10g 10.1.2.2 patch set can be used with the E-Business Suite Release 11i.
The short answer is: not yet.
We're planning on this certification for Release 11i, but getting Release 12 out the door is our top priority right now. As usual, I don't have have a firm schedule for this certification yet, but you're welcome to monitor or subscribe to this blog for updates on this certification.
As part of our certification efforts, we'll ensure that our official Discoverer 10g interoperability documentation is updated with the latest recommended patch levels and integration procedures. In the interim, we advise E-Business Suite customers to hold off on applying this patch to their Discoverer 10g environments.
Just to ensure that there's no confusion about the actual name of the patch, it is:
- Oracle Application Server and Oracle Developer Suite 10g Release 2 (10.1.2) Patch Set 2 (10.1.2.2.0)

My manager have heard that coming Rel 12 of Oracle Application will no longer uses Discoverer as a reporting tool.
Is this correct or just a rumor?

Sudhir,This is an unfounded rumour. Business intelligence products such as Financials Intelligence in Release 12 will still include Discoverer 10g-based content. Regards,Steven
