Do I contradict myself? Very well, then I contradict myself, I am large, I contain multitudes.

Welcome. A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step, and introductions are usually a good start.
I'm a director in the Applications Technology Integration Group, the group within Oracle Development that's responsible for integrating standard Oracle technologies into the technology stack for the E-Business Suite. I plan to spend the next few posts on my formal (and informal) responsibilities and my group in more detail, so that should do for now.
I'm fortunate to get the opportunity to speak with our customers regularly, both in private meetings and at events like Oracle OpenWorld. Over the years, I've developed this nagging sense that there's a lot of room for improvement in how we communicate with you, our customers. That's the goal of this blog.
Some of the topics I may cover here, in no particular order:
- Existing E-Business Suite technology stack components, supported architectures, integrations, and tools
- Pointers and tips on making your life as a ERP systems architect or sysadmin easier
- What we think your requirements are, and the difficult process of obtaining and prioritising product requirements
- Possible plans for new features (subject to the usual restrictions placed on me by Oracle Legal)
- Our development and support cycles, and their associated challenges
- Other topics of your choosing

Lot of useful information available here .. especially about R12. Can you pl let me know any other blog which deals with product features/enhancements (apart from technology oriented).. more specially in CRM/SCM areas of R12? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for your feedback, Ram. I don't know of any CRM/SCM R12 blogs
yet, but Oracle's only recently established its corporate blogging infrastructure,
so more are being started every day. I'd recommend checking the http://blogs.oracle.com site regularly for
new additions.Regards,Steven

Steven
Having just started reading your blog, I find it very easy reading, with a lot of information being offered.
Specifically 2 of your bullet points got my interest,
Existing E-Business Suite technology stack components. I am looking for that specific list.
Pointers and tips on making my life as a systems architect easier. I will take all the assistance you are willing to provide.
Thanks

Dave, I've already replied to you privately, but here's a public reply in case others are lurking in the wings with the same question. For a quick overview of the Applications Technology Stack, see this article:E-Business Suite Technology Stack OverviewI'll be posting a new article on generating a report of installed Apps techstack components and versions soon -- watch our home page for updates!Regards,Steven
