So.... what is PTS?

What is PTS ?

I can't describe it any better than this:  (thanks to whoever originally penned this description on our internal site)

Platform Technology Solutions  is part of Oracle's Server Technologies Product Development Division, and provides the shortest link between our Partners and key Customers and Oracle R&D.

Platform Technology Solutions focuses on three major initiatives

  • Independent Software Vendors
  • System Integrators
  • Legacy Modernization

Platform Technology Solutions ensures that members of the Oracle Partner Network are proficient in Oracle technology.  Whether you are selling Oracle technology, building business solutions, including hosted Internet solutions, or providing system integration and implementation services for Oracle technology, Platform Technology Solutions can help you succeed.

What are we going to discuss in this blog?

Well my background is with the E-Business Suite and PeopleSoft.  Almost exclusively in applications technology - think Apps DBA, etc.  Since coming to Oracle, I've been given the opportunity to grow that expertise and become versed in application integration using Fusion Middleware products and SOA technologies.

In this blog we'll mostly focus on the technology associated with our apps products (EBiz, PSFT, SEBL) and the integration thereof.  Truly a wide-ranging category but it should be fun and hopefully educational.

If you have any topics you want to discuss specifically, drop me a comment or email and we'll get it out there.

Mary:

Hi Chuck,
I manage the AIA for Partners initiative and often use PTS resources to assist our ISVs. Let me know if you need more information on AIAP.

Application Integration Architecture for Partners is the "one-stop" integration resource providing Oracle PartnerNetwork members access to design guides and best practices, product specific how-to guides, training, design review, development assistance, and validation testing services for both native and service-driven integrations.
