Every couple of weeks we get a post on one of the many discussion forums out there asking if JDeveloper works with non-Oracle databases or application servers.
Well the answer is yes.
But people are always looking for samples of this, and to tell the truth, not all the product managers have time to install/configure and learn non-Oracle products.
So it is nice to see an article like this one showing you how to use JDeveloper with MySQL (and showing you some of the benefits of Oracle ADF in the process).
Especially since it is written by a non-Oracle person.
See I told you so - it does work.
(by the way there are more MySQL documents on the JDeveloper how-to's page).
