Oracle Business Process Analysis Suite

Stealth Marketing at its Best

Last week I was in the US meeting with the Oracle development as part of our Server Tech partnership programme.  Great opportunity to see where Fusion Middleware is going and catch up with the management team and the developers of the product.  One of the sessions covered our soon to be announced agreement with IDS Scheer to resell parts of their ARIS suite within the context of an Oracle Business Process Analysis Suite.  A lot of us were very excited about this - not just more product to sell but something that rounded out our BPM solution.

IDS Scheer have just announced their results and as a result they and Oracle have issued a press release announcing that Oracle will resell IDS Scheers ARIS.  The first stage is to work together as companies pushing the technology, with basic integration at the BPEL level.  The next step is to more closely integrate the technologies, making it easier to do roundtrip engineering of processes.  This is a significant extension of Oracles capability in the BPM space and I expect to see a lot of interest from our customers, I will update you more on this when I have more chance to play with it.
