Interesting post from a .NET Developer about his experience with Oracle Database XE. His stated aims in the post, to quote:
- Installation and Configuration
- Understanding of Oracle terminology
- Basic Administration - Create a Schema, Table, Stored Procedure & User
- Access the Database from a .NET Managed Provider
- Discover an Oracle community and check out how friendly and helpful the community is
of which are covered thoroughly. I nice post from someone with a fresh
perspective, even if he does have axe to grind (or as he puts it, a
MSFT "security blanket").

That's so cool! It looks like my article, Oracle Database XE: Not Just For Learners helped him get started.
I'll have to revisit and see how he does long term.

Are there any plans for "Oracle Developer Tools for Visual Studio .NET" to be extended so that they can be used with Visual Studio 2005 and with the Express editions fo the VS 2005 .NET tools?

Yes, a forthcoming production release will support VS 2005. Won't work with the XE edition though, only with SE/EE.
