Oracle OpenWorld attendees, information about OTN Night - or "OTN Underground" as it's called this year -- are now available.
The first thing you need to know is that the event, while historically held on Tuesday night during the conference, is occurring on Monday night this year (at the usual Marriott location).
Also note that in addition to the traditional "DBA Hot Seat" competition, great food and drinks, and copious gaming, you can also attend the "OCFS2 Challenge" - in which Oracle's Open Source Development team will build a two-node shared home heterogeneous RAC cluster database in less than 20 minutes (no joke!). You'll also get great new info about how and why the Oracle + PHP combination is picking up a major head of steam among developers.
I'll be in attendance with our mobile podcasting unit. So be sure to say hello!
