Download Oracle Database 10g R2!

Oracle Database 10g Release 2 for Linux x86 is now available for download from OTN (with versions for more platforms to be available soon)!

As I mentioned in previous blogs, reading Arup Nanda's Oracle Database 10g Release 2: Top Features for DBAs is a great way to get started with new features such as Transparent Data Encryption, XML Query, DML Error Logging (Tom Kyte's favorite new feature), and more.

If you're a Web developer, you may also want to check out the new DeployPHP technical article series, which launched this week. Over the course of five installments, PHP experts will be sharing their experiences about what it takes to deploy a scalable, secure Oracle + PHP application.
