Redesign, Tokyo, and Papers, Oh My!

A Big Week for Oracle Wraps Up

RedWhirlwind.jpgIt’s been a busy week around HQ, but we wanted to point out a few things in case you missed them during the whirlwind of Oracle news.

First, notice anything different here? Today we launched the redesigned Oracle OpenWorld Blog. Along with our new look, we will have a more integrated presence with the Oracle OpenWorld Web site. Now, news coming from our blog will share space with your single source of registration, schedule, and exhibition information. We also share the links to the Oracle OpenWorld conversations happening on Oracle Mix, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube. Take a look at the new layout, follow some of our new links, and let us know what you think.

Second, Oracle OpenWorld Tokyo came to a close a few hours ago. We’ve seen some great photos, lots of Twitter traffic, and even a video starring Wendy. If you shared some content, let us know where to find it so we can post a link here.

Finally, the Oracle OpenWorld Call for Papers is coming to an end this week—no more extensions. Want to play a leading role amongst the thousands of informative sessions, special programs, and networking events at Oracle OpenWorld 2009? Then make sure you submit your best ideas, recent findings, or success stories to the Oracle OpenWorld content team by 11:59 p.m. PT on Sunday, April 26. If you don’t get picked by the content team, there’s still hope. Some select sessions not chosen for the show will be up for public voting via Oracle Mix starting in early June. So, get your papers in soon; time is running out.

If you have thoughts about the new look, anecdotes from Japan, or suggestions for procrastinators, leave them in the comments.
