OOW 2008 Wrap Up Days 2 to N

I should wrap up my OOW conference coverage.

As you could predict from my pre-posts about the conference schedule we had some interesting sessions.

I was extremely pleased to meet the guys from Community Connect who gave an excellent presentation with Srinath from Oracle. Some key people were very interested in what they were doing, with PHP, Oracle and connection pooling, and also with their approach to development in a rapidly changing environment. Special shout out to Veronica for her organizational work and hosting.

Along with various meetings and the presentations and catching up with some of our partners also working with PHP (SugarCRM, Embarcadero), I spent a lot of time on the dynamic language booth, with assistance from the OCI team. We had a lot of interest and set up various calls with customers who wanted to talk more.

Overall the conference was busy, but because of solid preparation it felt more relaxed. And I did make it to the party.

Anyway all this is idle gossip. What you really want to do is listen to the succinct podcast I recorded with Kuassi:
