Event: Implementing Oracle 11gR2 GRID infrastructure on IBM System x running Linux

The Oracle / IBM Joint Solutions Center and the IBM PSSC System x Benchmark Center are organizing a new model of workshop which is designed to allow each of you to successfully start new projects at your customer. Those virtual hands-on workshops will provide first best practices while presenting the majors steps necessary to implement Oracle 11gR2 GRID infrastructure on IBM System x servers running Linux.

Only 7 virtual groups are available per session.

Each virtual group will attend to webscats presenting the new features of Oracle IBM technologies and have remote access to the infracture to perform the full installation and tests steps.

• OCS / ACS consultants and Oracle PreSales from EMEA

1st Half day - "Discovering Technologies"

2nd Half day - "Cheking the pre-reqs and starting Grid Infrastructure installation"
Hands-On Lab :
• Oracle 11gR2 Prerequisites
• Oracle 11gR2 Grid Infrastructure Installation (CRS & ASM)

3rd Half Day - "Configuring Oracle Automatic Storage Management & Automatic Cluster File Systems"
Hands-On Lab :
• ASM Diskgroup & ASM Dynamic Volumes Creation
• ACFS Creation for shared application (swingbench)

4th Half Day - "Installing and Creating Oracle 11gR2 Database"
Hands-On Lab :
• Oracle Database 11gR2 Software Installation
• Oracle Database 11gR2 Creation

5th Half Day - "Playing with your own Grid Infrastructure"
Hands-On Lab :
• Swingbench Application Installation
• Failover scenario & Node Failure Tests

Session I
• Start time : Monday November 16th 9am CET
• End Time : Wednesday November 18th 12am CET

Session II
• Start time : Wednesday November 18th 2pm CET
• End Time : Friday November 18th 6pm CET

• From any location in EMEA , with an internet connection.
