Oracle 10.1.4 Identity Management has been shipped!

In the biggest task that I have been involved with since arriving at
Oracle, we have released the latest version of the Identity Management
Suite including updates for Oracle Internet Directory and Oracle
Virtual Directory.

You can download the software here.

You can review most of the documentation here.

OVD Documentation is seperate (vestigal effect of acquisition
documentation format, should be in same location as IdM in the future):

For the OctetString team this really is monumental for us, in terms of
integration. We are now fully merged into the Oracle Directory Services
team. This gives us benefits in terms of scale ranging from support to
QA and by allowing each team (OID and OVD) to focus on their own
value-add, while leveraging the other product to help fill in gaps.

In terms of new features:

  • OID 10.1.4 includes a filter for Active Directory that makes it easier to keep passwords in AD synchronized to OID.

  • OVD 10.1.4 includes wizards that simplify configuring common tasks.

I congratulate all of the teams on the hard-work put in to achieve this release.

Hi Mark, the link to the documentation seems to have changed.

The format of this URL has changed. Change the source of this URL to the New URL displayed below. The Old URL is not supported in future releases. If your browser does not automatically re-direct you in 30 seconds, click the New URL below to go to the new page.

Old URL: http://www.oracle.com/wocportal/pls/wocprod/docs/page/ocom/technology/products/id_mgmt/ovds/pdf/b28833.pdf
New URL: http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/id_mgmt/ovds/pdf/b28833.pdf

Mark Wilcox:

Thanks. This happened as a result of upgrading the software running Oracle.com (which I believe is Oracle Portal).

I've fixed the links.
