Application Change Management Pack for EBS (OpenWorld 2009 Recap)

I recently wrote about the eternal dilemma of the Apps system implementer: whether it's worth customizing the E-Business Suite or not. Customizations and extensions introduce the challenge of deploying your customizations between multiple development, QA, and production environments. Our new Application Change Management Pack for Oracle E-Business Suite has the potential to help to with that, and a few other notable systems management tasks, too. The Application Change Management Pack is one of the most-interesting new lifecycle management products released recently from our Applications Technology Group. The Application Change Management Pack is an optional add-on to the Application Management Pack. The Application Management Pack is an Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid Control plug-in for the E-Business Suite. Applications Management and Change Management Packs Certified with Enterprise Manager Grid Control Release 5

Our E-Business Suite Applications Technology Group released a new product, the Application Change Management Pack (ACMP), and a new version of their Application Management Pack (AMP) for Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g Grid Control Release 4 earlier this month.  They've just followed this up with a new certification with Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g Grid Control Release 5.

Applications Change Management Pack 3.0 and Applications Management Pack 3.0 Now Available

Our E-Business Suite Applications Technology Group recently released a new product, the Application Change Management Pack (ACMP), and a new version of their Application Management Pack (AMP).

The Application Change Management Pack is noteworthy because it provides three new tools for automating updates to multiple E-Business Suite instances:

  • Customization Manager automates the packaging of your customizations into AD-compliant packages that can be deployed across multiple E-Business Suite instances.  Before packaging, the Customization Manager validates your customizations against Oracle's software coding best practices.

  • Patch Manager integrates with Oracle Metalink and automatically downloads and deploys different types of patches across multiple (single or multi-node) E-Business Suite instances.

  • Setup Manager helps manage functional setups that need to be duplicated across multiple E-Business Suite instances.
