Have you ever wished that you could see that final character of your subinventory name, locator name, or item number but you run out of characters on your screen? Can’t read the entire information message at the bottom of your RF device? You’re not alone. Recently we’ve had a lot of questions asking if it’s possible to resize mobile RF pages. The answer is yes it is.
You can change values of files in the MWA server to resize the width and height of both the mobile telnet client and mobile GUI client. The width and height values appear in the $INST_TOP/admin/install/default_key.ini (for mobile telnet) and $INST_TOP/admin/install/gui_key.ini (for mobile gui) files.
To change the values for the mobile telent client, telnet to the MWA server with the username and password provided to you by your system administrator. Access the $INST_TOP/admin/install/default_key.ini file and modify the width and height as necessary. For the changes to take effect, you need to bounce the MWA server.
The process is identical for the mobile GUI client. The only differene is the file name.
The following is an example of the $INST_TOP/admin/install/default_key.ini mobile telent file. The DEFAULT_WIDTH and DEFAULT_HEIGHT fields are highlighted.
