Hello and thanks for visiting my new blog.

I thought I would start a blog with a focus on the topic of project management, particularly as it applies to software systems implementations. It's a subject area where I've spent the majority of my career (18+ at Oracle) and one for which I have considerable passion. Oracle Consulting has taken a number of steps in North America to drive greater levels of client satisfaction and create a culture of project management excellence. We still have many initiatives in play, and in the spirit of continuous improvement, always will, but all indications are very positive, including the growth in the number of PMI members and PMI certified project managers and more subtly, the use of industry project management terms and the level of understanding of those concepts within our project management community.

So, I hope this blog becomes a great vehicle for discussing project management. Please check out the article, send me your comments. My next blog entry will address a topic in the area of project communication, which is absolutely critical to project success. Talk to you then.
