Oracle's Worldwide Alliances & Channels: Helping Our Partners Drive Growth

It is both an honor and a pleasure to lead Oracle’s Worldwide Alliances & Channels organization, and to be working with you, Oracle’s partners, to drive sustained growth and future success. In taking on this new responsibility, I have already had the opportunity to speak to many of you regarding the evolution of our strategy. These meetings have reinforced my commitment to our mission statement. Put simply, our mission is to increase revenue and profitability for Oracle, and our partners, while building a strong ecosystem to better support solution sales. This mission manifests itself into three primary objectives:

First, we will grow the indirect and co-sell revenue associated with our partner base. We will accomplish this by monetizing our acquisitions, penetrating new markets, and making sure that you, our partners, have the ability to collaborate to deliver increased value to our customers. We’re focused on making sure that our partners are not only knowledgeable of our existing core products lines, but also well enabled to cross all of our newly acquired products.

The second primary objective is what I call “Advanced Partner Enablement”. This goal will be accomplished by significantly enhancing the sales and delivery capabilities of our partner ecosystem. This September at Oracle OpenWorld, we will elaborate on this concept and I invite you all to attend to hear more about this exciting endeavor. Simply put, our goal is to better enable our partners to capitalize on more opportunity while delivering better solutions for customers.

Finally our third goal is the automation of partner based systems, ordering processes and partner analytics to assure our partners have an efficient and positive experience with Oracle. We will deliver order automation to parts of the world that have not benefitted from this in the past, while improving the environments that are in existence today.

In the months ahead, I look forward to working with many of you to help the entire partner ecosystem benefit from these objectives. I look forward to engaging with you on this blog on a periodic basis to share updates on our efforts.

Oracle PartnerNetwork Forum: Enablement, Growth

Register for the Oracle PartnerNetwork Forum
Agenda is included below

Greetings partners,

Oracle OpenWorld 2008 is fast approaching and there are some important opportunities I don’t want you to miss.

First, I want to personally invite all Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN) members, Remarketers, and partners from these recently acquired companies—BEA Systems, Agile, Crystal Ball, Captovation, AdminServer, Skywire, Hyperion, Tangosol—to join us at the Oracle PartnerNetwork Forum on Sunday, September 21. (And if you’re not a partner, join OPN today, and come meet us in San Francisco).

Oracle PartnerNetwork Forum is free of charge and is your way to get on the inside track. I am extremely excited about the program we’ve put together this year. Many partners have provided recommendations that have helped shape this year's agenda, and we are delighted to share what we have heard and how we are responding. We are going to explore:

• Growth strategies including profiting from Oracle's acquisitions, penetrating new markets, and triangulation.
• Accelerating business together through advanced partner enablement and OPN program enhancements that will take partnering to the next level.
• The key messages your customers and prospects will hear from Oracle.

Plus, we'll map out "don't miss" activities so that you make the most of your week at Oracle OpenWorld.

And don't wait for September—join the conversation today in the Oracle OpenWorld group and the OPN group on Oracle Mix. You can network and connect with Oracle, other partners, and customers in Oracle Mix. We’ll also be providing the latest updates and news about Oracle PartnerNetwork Forum, so you won’t miss a thing.

Please make sure your plans for September include Oracle PartnerNetwork Forum. Happy travel to San Francisco! We'll see you there.

--Judson
