News just broke that Oracle's president Charles Phillips has been appointed by President Obama to a 16-person committee making up the Economic Recovery Advisory Board. Obama says he is seeking economic advice beyond the echo chamber of Washington.
Obama is continuing his tremendous drive as new president to bring change in these harsh economic times, he states; "I created this board to enlist voices that come from beyond the echo chamber of Washington, D.C., and to ensure that no stone is unturned as we work to put people back to work and to get our economy moving..."
Amazing news and something that gives me confidence we have two very smart men working to making the right decisions to get this economy back on track. Well done Charles!
On a lighter note, looking at news articles I couldn't help but notice the amazing similarity of both men and it reminded me of a popular British political magazine, Private Eye, that runs a regular article on people who look a like in politics. If you don't quite get it, Wikipedia explains. I thought I would create my own rendition here. Have a good weekend all, the future is looking better already :)
