Engagement in the "Real World"

Excuse the off topic post, but I just found out that non-US Citizen "green card" holders ARE allowed to contribute to political campaigns in the US (apologies to any non-US readers; had you heard there was an election going on here?)

Now I consider myself pretty well informed politically - I read at least a dozen political blogs daily - and this was not something I knew. It's almost too late for this election cycle, but I thought I'd share the news nonetheless.

Of course, this blog endorses no particular poltical viewpoint, but I'd like to think that all of us would encourage some form of participation - even for those of us who don't get to vote.
