I have just fallen in love with Mangosteen.

Seems some kind of super fruit - seems a fusion product.
Is it available in North America? Or still in beta?

Just don`t buy them in the UK!

They don`t look or taste as nice, but I agree they are one of the best fruits out there, besides dragon fruit mmmm.. :)

If you want the best mangosteens. Go to Thailand!

Hey Daniel, That's where I am and where I tasted them for the first time! Absolutely a delight.

Alex:

Yeah, first tasted them in Sri-Lanka several years ago! The most amazing taste ever!

They are allowed in the US now, however they are required to be "deBugged" by Irradiation, kind of like a microwave for bugs and bacteria. I doubt they will ever get clearance without that process, I have a brother in law in Bangkok, I need to go there for a visit and try them at the source. The only mangosteen I've had were in NY and only fair. Someone did tell me that there is one farm in Florida that grows them, anyone able to confirm this??

I was told that the best fruit in the world is GUAVA. Can anyone confirm this. Thanks.

There is nothing so wonderful as sitting on the floor with a kilo of mangosteen in front of you and peeling the beautiful red skin away to reveal the pristine, snow white friut. And then... a taste of heaven!

Summer
