In summary, Oracle Content Server (the foundation of several Oracle content management products (Oracle Universal Content Management, Oracle Universal Content Management Standard Edition, and Oracle Universal Records Management) will be offering a new Content Server component in June 2008 and will be distributed with Oracle Secure Enterprise Search 11g when it becomes available. Additionally, Oracle will continue to provide existing database search functionality against Oracle 10g, Microsoft SQL Server, IBM DB2 and other databases and external search engines as listed in the UCM 10gR3 Certification Matrix

Overall I am very pleased with this move since SES offers more advanced capabilities in the way of extraction, clustering, and semantic analysis. This really is a step up from the VDK edition we used to ship with.
