James Bond Gadget Needed

I lose stuff all the time. I have to call my mobile phone twice a day to hear where it is. My keys are always gone, and I can’t even count the times any more that I couldn’t find my passport or my wallet. I even have 2 passports and 1 additional identity card, just in case. Great, even more stuff to lose.

What I really need is a variation on that James Bond gadget from “The Living Daylights”. Bond used a keychain that contained stun gas to be released after whistling the first bars of “Rule Britannia”.

I don’t need the stun gas, but would like a device that as soon as I push a button, the things I have tagged with a chip (like my wallet, keys, photo camera, pda, phone, passport etc) start to beep. Like a remote control.

Does anybody know of such a device?

If so, let me know. I just hope that when I get it, I don’t lose that remote control.

I had one for keys, if you whistle, the keys answered, but it was annoying because keys were answered the television, the train, the car breaks, etc...

something like this

(good luck learning French :) )

If you have the remote control will you not lose that aswell?

The link below is for a keychain the beeps loudy when you whistle. There are probably similer products closer to where you live but you get the idea.

Francisco Mendiola:

I read the other day about this device that can be attached to any object (keyring, wallet...) and can be found from an application in your cell phone within a range of 100 meters. It is called the Nokia Locate Sensor, but unfortunately I think it is not in the market yet.

Yes! That's exactly what I've been looking for since ages!! Francisco please post in this blog when this 007 device will be available on the market... it's mine! ;-)

I was just wishing for something like that myself!

Rather than going "beep", though, the objects should appear on a (very detailed) map on my phone. I hear that you can already start to do this with people -- e.g. your phone will alert you if any of your facebook contacts are within a certain distance.

Brave new world!

I am all into the spy gadgets and james bond stuff. I think that you would be surprised what is available now. For example you can buy pen's with video cameras on them. I always wanted a tool that would tell me where my cat was in the house. Like a gps tracker. Now that's james bondish ;)
