Siebel Wireless on the iPhone (hint: it already works)
One of the big changes we made to Siebel after the Oracle acquisition was the removal of restrictive language about our support of Wireless browsers on specific devices; always something I had disagreed with because Siebel was built to specific STANDARDS for wireless applications (and not to specific devices). The almost immediate impact was the support of Blackberry devices with all of our Siebel Wireless solutions. I will be frank here - we had many customers contact us and thank us - as they had been running Siebel Wireless on Blackberry for some time with no issues - but running with no support until that point was always seen as a risk.
Early this year I ran a simple test on my old iPhone. I tested every feature that defines a Siebel application. The results are, as you would expect, 100% success. This is due of course to the standards support and a great job done by the Safari browser team (OK - use of webkit is genius). (I re-ran the tests and recorded the video using the iPhone simulator) .

Now - this still looks like a Siebel application. So how do you make it look like an iPhone application? That's where the fun comes in - and you get to flex your web development skills. Apple have great web resources that help you build a web based iPhone application. The great news is that most of the work required is just CSS styling.
