Oracle is announcing the delivery of WebLogic Server and Workshop for WebLogic 10g R3. We first announced WebLogic Server 10gR3 at the San Francisco BEA World conference. In technology preview since November 7, 2007, it is the first release of the software.

This release focuses on three enhancement areas that we believe will improve the developer experience for you if are an existing WebLogic Server developer, or that will attract you to WebLogic Server if you are not currently using the product. In addition, JDeveloper and ADF / TopLink runtime users will be supported on Oracle WebLogic Server 10g R3, allowing ADF driven applications to extend farther into new supported platforms.

Oracle Workshop for WebLogic 10gR3

This release unifies all the previous packages, and removes all licensing features of any kind. Workshop for WebLogic will be freely available on all supported platforms, including websphere, weblogic, tomcat, jboss, jetty and resin. Oracle WebLogic Server 10g R3 developers who use Eclipse will find updated Workshop plug-ins for developing Java/EE and JAX-WS web services that are bundled with the server. Hi,
I couldn't find any information about the ADF runtime licensing now Weblogic is Oracle's flagship application server.
My question is simple : can I use ADF free of charge if I'm deploying to Weblogic ?

Which version of Linux 64 are you currently running? Is this AMD64, IA64, something else?
While Linux 64-bit is not officially supported, you may be able to get away with running the 32-bit linux Workshop installer on IA64.

I installed Weblogic 10.3 on CentOS 4.6 linux. Weblogic server 10.3 runs without error but when I run Oracle Workshop for Weblogic - specify a workspace I receive a JVM terminated error code 127.
/home/oracle/bea/jrockit_160_05/jre/bin/java: symbol lookup error : /usr/lib/firefox-1.5.0.12/components/libdocshell.so: undefined symbol: PR_GetPhysicalMemorySize
I wonder if anyone has received this error and if so what they did to fix it??
