ESB-Con IV to air tomorrow!

When: Thursday Oct 18, 12 noon ET, 9AM PT, 1900 GMT

Tomorrow I'll be presenting Oracle's latest SOA strategy in ESB-Con IV.  Don't miss it!

ESB-Con is a half day virtual conference, which includes presenters from BEA, IBM, Oracle, and Progress.  The day starts with a 1 hour panel discussion where Oracle's Dave Shaffer will be there to help answer the latest rendition of the "5 tough questions" that the ESB-Con organizers are notorious for.

Immediately following that, I'll be up next for a 1 hour presentation on what we're calling "Next Generation Grid Enabled SOA".  After which will follow the other presentations from the other participating vendors.

Hope to see you there!

David,
I did tune into your presentation. It is the best presentation in years I attended to do with some real innovation and future value.
I have question is SOA Grid with advanced capabilites you mentioned available wtih Fusion Middleware 11G? Also is Fusion Applcations going to make use of the advanced capabilites of SAP Grid?
Thanks again for pointing ahead to your presentation. Please continue to point to your future presentations through your blog - Jay

David Chappell:

Thanks Jay!
The Stateful load balancing and failover of services are patterns that can be implemented out of the box today using the combination of Oracle Coherence and the other components of the Oracle SOA Suite. The linearly scalable shared memory aspects, which complement virtualization strategies resulting in less flavors of servers to deploy, are also characteristics of Oracle Coherence today.

For the more advanced capabilities such as relocatable BPEL processes, and new grid-enabled JMS/WS-RM/EDA layer, we are still working on fleshing out the details of the product roadmap. Stay tuned for more info.

As for Fusion Applications and the and the "SAP" grid (I'll assume that's a typo :) the same applies--each product team across Fusion Middleware and Fusion Apps is diligently working on strategies for taking advantage of the Coherence grid.

Jay:

Dave,
Thanks for the valuable information. You are right "SAP Grid" was a typo, as we know Netweaver can't spell the word 'grid' yet - Jay

Jay:

Forgot to ask, is there any way you can post the presentation online?, I would like to share it with my folks within and outside of my company. Thanks - Jay
