This week we are publishing a short two-part video series where Joel Goodman - Global Team leader of the Oracle DBA certification exam development team - gives some great insight to Oracle's philosophy to why certification is important to professionals and their employers.

Be sure and watch this blog post, as we'll be publishing a link to this free and helpful Oracle University video directly here.

Hi Paul

Can you please clarify for a oragnisation to be considered as Oracle Partner via OPN or a gold or a platinum partner they would need to have certain minimum number of Oracle Certified Professionals on thier payrolls.

I am supposed to prepare a document highlighting the benefits for EMPLOYERS on encouraging their staff to undergo certification.

I am not looking for soft benefits in this tough economy like
employee retention
Knowledgeable employees etc

Hi Ed,

The best person to speak to you about the specific benefits for your company is your OPN representative (the one assigned to your company). Given the various products and partner levels, this may vary from company to company. I'm sure that your OPN rep would be happy to spend some time on the phone with you to discuss more details.

Great post, do you run your blog on movable type? I really like the layout you have on it, bookmarked it.

Yes indeed - this is on Movable Type!
