The new Oracle Database 11g Administrator Certified Professional (OCP) certification will soon be live.
The beta period recently closed for certification exam 1Z1-053 – Oracle Database 11g: Administration II, which is a single exam requirement for those holding the Oracle Database 11g Administrator Certified Associate (OCA) to upgrade to Oracle Certified Professional (OCP).
Beta analysis and processing is currently underway, and the production exam is expected to be released in mid-September as exam 1Z0-053. Candidates can register now for the live exam, which will be available at Prometric testing centers worldwide with immediate scoring and pass/fail status. Candidates who participated in the beta can expect their beta score results soon after the live production exam is released.

Hi,
If I have Oracle 10g OCP, how do I upgrade to Oracle 11g OCP? Do I need to attend a course to do that?
Thanks!

It's actually just the "Oracle Database 11g: New Features for Administrators" exam (1Z0-050). Here is a handy link to the upgrades page.

Hi Gaurav – the exam data will not update on our website until the final production version of the exam goes live (anticipating the end of this month). If you take the exam right now, it would still be the beta version and hence you would not receive an immediate score. Keep an eye here on the Oracle Certification Blog for the live 1Z0-053 release announcement, at which point you will be able to take the final exam with immediate scoring and pass/fail status.
Good luck!
