Due to a recent change in the 10g OCA track structure, a record number of people got certified as 10g OCA in August, September and November 2008. It was an incredibly busy time! I want to congratulate all those who passed their exam earned their 10g OCA credential.
I also want to encourage you to be diligent about continuing on the path to 10g OCP. It may be tempting to drop out or take a break at the OCA level – it would be a disappointment to see you do this when they have made such great progress towards the OCP level. The OCP is a industry-recognized, flagship level of Oracle database certification and should be your ultimate goal (or maybe OCM is your goal).
So keep studying, practicing, training – Good Luck!

I agree- actually, it took me less time to pass the OCP exam after I passed 10g OCA. I was able to study and pass both exams in 3 months time. Now, I hope to do upgrade exam to 11g OCP then 11g OCM. Of course, since I work with a lot of EBS customers, my focus is to sit for the EBS exam to become EBS OCP and then take the RAC OCE exam. It keeps me on my toes and helps sharpen my Oracle knowledge.

Its true and easy to pass the second exam to get the OCP. the only difficulty i find is getting the trianing that is required to actually get the certificate.
