As you may have noticed on our website, we have now have a great number of new certifications for Oracle E-Business Suite R12. From apps DBAs to sys admins to apps consultants, Oracle has invested a tremendous amount of support behind those of you working with this comprehensive suite of integrated, global business applications. If you've been seeing various staggered announcements in your inbox and wish you could just get a birds-eye view, well here it is.
What certifications are available?
To keep it short and simple, here's "the list":
- Oracle E-Business Suite R12 Financials Certified Expert Consultant, Payables (OCE)
- Oracle E-Business Suite R12 Financials Certified Expert Consultant, Receivables (OCE)
- Oracle E-Business Suite R12 Supply Chain Certified Expert Consultant, Purchasing (OCE)
- Oracle E-Business Suite R12 Supply Chain Certified Expert Consultant, Order Management (OCE)
- Oracle E-Business Suite R12 Advanced Supply Chain Planning Certified Expert Consultant (OCE)
- Oracle E-Business Suite R12 Applications Database Administrator Certified Professional (OCP)
- Oracle E-Business Suite R12 System Administrator Certified Expert (OCE)
So there you have it - seven new R12 certifications; all but one are Oracle Certified Expert (OCE) designations, with the exception being the Applications Database Administrator which is an Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) designation.

Right now you have an opportunity to take many of these exams at a significant discount while they are in beta. We'll talk more about beta exams in a later post - but for now, be aware that this is a short window of opportunity for you, and we hope that you will take advantage of it. Kudos to the fantastic Oracle Certification Program team for the rich offering of certification exams. The R12 exams do indeed cover a wider horizon as well as provide opportunity for certification with just 1 combo-exam (e.g INV+OM) after the foundation exam, instead of 2 exams earlier. Certification candidates are indeed looking forward to the bonanza offered by extending the R12 beta exam deadline. Hi,
I had 10g OCP for DBA. I want to attend the exam 1Z1-238 Oracle EBS R12: Install, Patch and Maintain Applications, to get the R12 Application DBA. I am 11i APPS DBA. Can u please tell me how to find training notes for this exams ? Is there any training available for this ? Thanks in advance.

Hi,
I already had passed 1z0-204, I have plan to go for Oracle E-Business Suite R12 Supply Chain Certified Expert Consultant, Purchasing (OCE) and Oracle E-Business Suite R12 Supply Chain Certified Expert Consultant, Order Management (OCE).
I want to appear in live exam. Please confirm that beta is closing on 31-Jan-2008 and it will be live from 1-Feb-2008.

Hi Aslam - you are correct that the beta period closes on 31-Jan for the two following exams: "Oracle E-Business Suite R12: Inventory and Purchasing Fundamentals" (1Z0-225) and "Oracle E-Business Suite R12: Inventory and Order Management Fundamentals" (1Z0-226). But the live exams won't be ready until early April, as there is an extensive process we go through using the beta results data to construct the final live exam.
There is some good helpful information here about Oracle beta exams.

I'm Oracle HRMS technical.I want to know if certification of "1Z1-218 PeopleSoft Enterprise 9 HRMS Fundamentals and Oracle" will help me for Oracle HRMS as Peoplesoft and Oracle are different application.
Is there any certification for Oracle HRMS , Payroll ,OLM and Ireq?
