For those of you headed to Oracle OpenWorld 2008 in San Francisco this year, there are a number of certification-related items that you might want to check out:
- Exam Cram Series: "Oracle Database 11g New Features.” Sunday, September 21 from 9:00a to 5:00p. Pre-registration is required. More information here.
- On-Site Certification Testing: Four straight days (Monday -Thursday), with two testing sessions each day. Location: Moscone South #252.
- OCP Lounge: If you are an OCP, come spend some time in the lounge. We have about 20 workstations set up for email, practice exams, and browsing. Periodically they even bring in some snacks. Location: Moscone South #250.
- Meet some of the team members who manage the Oracle Certification Program. We will be hanging out around the OCP lounge and the Testing Center on the Mezzanine level of Moscone South – Rooms #250 and #252.

From my own extensive experience with the OCP Lounge, I highly recommend visiting it early and often! The OC program staff are helpful and friendly, the couches are comfortable, the access to computers unmatched, and there are often drinks and/or snacks hanging around there. Plus, it's conveniently located close to the exhibit hall, so it's on the way to anywhere! See you guys in a few more weeks!

All Oracle certification exams are indeed available at the conference except for betas. And for those ambitious certification candidates who like to really focus on this once a year, there is no limit to the number of certification exams you can take during the conference. The exams are available at standard price. So focus up! And we'll look forward to seeing you there!

Please confirm if beta exams will be available during the conference. I am interested in taking the R12 Financial GL/Receivables Exam. The certification website says the beta period has been extended to 01-Dec-2008 for this exam.

Sorry Patrick, the beta exams (because of special data tracking) are available only available at Prometric testing centers (www.prometric.com/oracle).
