Hi, my name is Alexander Miovic and I am currently doing a one-year internship at Oracle Financing Department EMEA, Operations Team. I am based in the Netherlands. In terms of background, I am pursuing a master degree in Business Administration at Lunds University in Sweden. Once finished this summer, I will go back to school for my last semester and then graduate.
Oracle Financing is helping companies acquire Oracle solutions. The extended payment term solution gives customers the easiest and most affordable way to acquire IT.
My role in the operations team is focused on cash management. I work closely with our funders all over Europe, tracking reciepts, past due items and implementing process enhancements. With the bank lender, I monitor cash flows and cash applications. I also work closely with our shared service centers located in Romania and Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable departments in India, sharing expertise . Everyday is a new challenge and that is what makes it so exciting. If you feel you need help, there is always someone to help you.
I got in contact with Oracle through a friend, who told me about an internship opportunity. Working within Oracle, you are constantly working with different cultures. Given my great interest in international business, this internship has offered me a unique insight into the international market as well as “hands on” experience fostering international business development. I am grateful I got this chance and cannot compare it to what a year in school would have given me. Doing an internship at Oracle also gives me the opportunity to later join a multinational corporation.
