NCR Corporation has integrated its NCR TransitionWorks for RFID and Mobility software with the Oracle E-Business Suite. The combination will enable real-time monitoring of inventory for supply chain and manufacturing processes, and help to automate and streamline those processes.

Oracle's customers will be able to easily augment current implementations of the Oracle E-Business Suite with updated, streamlined business processes using RFID technology. For example, RFID-enabled forklifts and conveyors will be able to track inventory and storage locations automatically.

Reva TAPs are purpose-built RFID Network Infrastructure appliances that provide RFID device control and data processing. TAPs install at a facility level to optimally manage the operations of RFID readers and other equipment from many leading providers, collect the raw tag data, process the data for accuracy and then pass only relevant RFID information to the Oracle E-Business Suite. Most of you may have heard about Cisco's announcement around its Motion approach to mobility and Mobility Services Engine product. Oracle along with Cisco collaborated for the next generation buiness mobility and pervasive solution for enterprises.
