The Very First Post

Welcome to the E-Business Suite Lifecycle Management (LCM) blog. Wea??re taking advantage of the excitement around Open World 2008 to launch this site.

LCM is comprised of five components, namely: Install, Maintain, Manage, Monitor, and Upgrade. Clearly, these activities cover a lot of ground, and consequently represent a large percentage of ongoing IT costs.

The goal of this blog is to provide the latest details on LCM products and practices. We will be offering expert advice from Oracle Development, Support, and Consulting - the objective being to help customers lower the cost, and frustration, associated with managing their systems.

In addition, we hope that this blog will become the central launch pad to other Lifecycle Management information sources within Oracle, including Forums, Metalink, and iMix a?? to name a few.

Over the coming weeks and months, we hope that you will come to rely on this site to make you more knowledgeable on LCM products and practices and, ultimately, more productive in your job. You can also influence the content - if there are certain topics that you would like to see discussed, send me an email at kenneth.baxter@oracle.com and our team will certainly consider them.

Featured LCM Speakers at Open World

If you've ever been to Open World, then you know that there are probably hundreds of different sessions over the course of four days. Indeed, just combing through the catalog to find sessions of interest can make you cross-eyed.

To help you out a bit, we've highlighted below all of the purely EBS LCM sessions. Note that the times and locations can change.

Note also that, this year, the sessions will be audiotaped - so you will have the ability to access the presentation with the speaker's voice.
