I am Kevin O'Brien, Senior Director of ISV and SaaS Strategy for Oracle's Worldwide Alliances and Channels organization.
My initial goal for this blog is to help ISVs navigate partnering opportunities with Oracle. Let's face it, Oracle is a big place and for some ISVs it is hard to know where to start. When I meet face to face with ISVs I am able to help point people in the right direction. So hopefully I can extend the conversation to a larger group of ISVs.
In this blog, you will see highlights of ISVs that have been successful partnering with Oracle. And I’ll also point people to key program or initiatives – some of which are new and some that remain hidden gems!
I’m excited to start a dialog and get feedback. Stay tuned and get ready for a healthy dose of SaaS!
ISVs building SaaS applications on the Oracle Platform for SaaS have been asking Oracle for a more flexible licensing model. And now it is here. The new model allows a SaaS ISV to pay as they grow. This allows SaaS ISVs to match the investment in their platform with the growth of their business.
More detailed information about the new model can be found on the OPN SaaS Knowledge Zone where you will find a datasheet and FAQ document.
Please stay tuned to this blog for more information.
I am off to present at SaaS University in Chicago today. There is a solid group of attendees which is another proof point that demand for SaaS is up even in this tough economy.
We have already had a huge swell of interest in the new SaaS for ISVs model launched today. Interested ISVs have contacted us from all corners of the world. And I met a current Oracle ISV partner today at a conference who liked what he heard.
