Patch Available for ADF Swing Bug 5642176


We got a lot of requests on the OTN Forum to fix an ADF Swing bug (Bug 5642176 (*)) raising a NullPointerException

at java.awt.EventDispatchThread.pumpOneEventForHierarchy(EventDispatchThread.java:201)
at java.awt.EventDispatchThread.pumpEventsForHierarchy(EventDispatchThread.java:151)
at java.awt.EventDispatchThread.pumpEvents(EventDispatchThread.java:146)
at java.awt.EventDispatchThread.pumpEvents(EventDispatchThread.java:137)
at java.awt.EventDispatchThread.run(EventDispatchThread.java:100)

The patch is now available in Metalink.
To download it:
  1. in MetaLink (*), click tab "Patches & Updates"
  2. click "Simple Search"
  3. select "Search By" "Patch Number"
  4. enter the patch number: 5642176

  5. select your Platform - "Microsoft Windows (32-bit)"
  6. click "Go"
  7. select the patch for your JDeveloper release (10.1.2.2 or 10.1.3.1)
    NB: if you use an older version of JDeveloper, you need to upgrade first to one of these releases
  8. click "View Readme" and follow instructions to install the patch.
The fix will be automatically included in JDeveloper 10.1.2.3 and 10.1.3.3
