It was a funny experience:
One of my colleagues, Stefan Mehl-Ludvigsen, came to Belgium for his vacation and visited us with his wife, Annie, and their kids, Alexender and Freya.
I'm in contact with Stefan every day as we have daily confcalls in our Support team.
However, we don't have the opportunity to meet peers that often, as the support engineers from our team are based in different countries:
Belgium, Danemark, Egypt, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden and the UK.
Stefan and Annie speak perfect English, but their kids speak Danish and our kids French only.
We were wondering how it would go with the kids, and the beginning was difficult, I would say, rather "cold".
Luckily, Cerise, our guinea pig, helped a bit:
after 20 minutes, the 5 kids were all sitting in the same armchair with Cerise moving from leg to leg...
After they realized that, though they couldn't communicate, they had common interests, they played in the swimming pool.
When Annie and Stefan decided it was time to leave, 3 hours later, it was difficult to have the kids out of there!
