UIX LOV Doesn't Return the Selected Value

There were several customers reporting the same problem with the UIX LOV (UIX component messageLovInput) in JDeveloper 10.1.2:

the LOV wasn't returning the selected value in the UIX page the first time it was invoked;
however, it was working correctly the next times a LOV was invoked in the same page.

The solution is to switch the Action Binding "Create" to "CreateInsert"
